The titles I give these posts are such throwaway nonsense. Anyways, before I get into the games, I ordered some shit from Frys.com last night, 2 500 GB hard drives and a new iPod. Sadly the order was cancelled this morning due to address issues. Dammit. I'll have to buy 'em in the store. Anyways, haven't posted recently. Beat 3 more games. Gun: (PS2) So it's short. 8-10 hours. Not bad for the $10 I paid. It's not REALLY a Western GTA because there's no branching stories. Heck, you can eschew the whole travelling to begin missions and just select it from the pause screen. But the gameplay is fun. I enjoyed pretty much everything about it, especially considering Neversoft sticking to extreme sports for so long up to this point. Violence was very much involved. Certain scenes really seemed deep for a game. The only thing I would have liked is to have had more. Bigger world, more missions, more to do. I hear the PSP version adds more, but it's a bit late for th...

Bleh. Sometimes it feels like going back to old games will take forever. Dead to Rights II still needs to be finished up. Near the end, I guess. I finally figured out how to play the game in a style eloquent enough to not die 40 times in a level. The big issue is how they changed the play mechanic from the first game. In the first, Shadow (your Husky) would attack and everything else pauses. It's live-action for him now. Plus grabbing enemies is less useful as shields. In the first, human shields were imperative for survival. Now you just do quick-kills on enemies to boost your adrenaline when it is low. That and the hand-t0-hand combat was almost stripped out entirely save for a few levels where it is forced. The prison escape in the first game was a great level and nothing captures that in this game. I'll talk more about Gun later. I want to get through most of it. It's pretty short. Oh, and... http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?cookie%5Ftest=1&product%5Fid=270088 F...

I'm now hosted on Dreamhost. They provide a shitload more space and bandwidth, so I don't have to feel held back. We'll see if I take advantage of it. I have a few ideas. Anyways, game related. I finished God of War 2 and it was fucking amazing. I only beat it so fast because of how drawn I was to it. About 10 hours or so on normal. 87~ deaths. Definitely worth playing through again. I also played a bit more of Burnout Dominator . It's growing on me. I don't miss crash mode at all. Maniac mode more than makes up for it. Tonight I was showing my roommate games I liked, mainly for gameplay and level design. The ones I showed were Time Crisis: Crisis Zone , Jak 3 , and Jak X: Combat Racing . They all have something special. I also popped in a few games I haven't ever played, but own. Killzone . The frame rate needs work, but otherwise it looks pretty robust. I'll have to give it more time. FPS games aren't instantly gripping, sadly. You need a few cool gu...

Normal Stuff I believe I may have found a new girlfriend. I'm really happy about it. Job interview Wednesday. I really want to get my cartoon server up soon. I don't want to burn too many more discs. Game Stuff God of War 2 is Wednesday. I can't wait. I picked up two UMD Movies tonight at Circuit City. ($5 each) I also grabbed Kim Possible: What's The Switch? and enjoy it so far. It's my third Kim Possible game.

Regular Stuff: Penn Jilette ended his talk show. It was one of my favorite things to listen to on my iPod. I agreed with a lot of what he said and he had great guests. I need to find a new podcast to replace it. Sadly I stopped listening to a lot of others because they were so unprofessional. All the ones I listen to are by people from radio and TV. Ones who aren't amateurs. Video Game Stuff: I beat God of War . It really entices you beat the game on a higher difficulty, but with so many other games and God of War 2 coming out soon, that's not going to be happening. Burnout: Dominator is fun, too. The first car series is a bit easy, but it quickly ramps up. It's so nice not having crash mode. SO FUCKING NICE.

Tomorrow I'll send out another batch of resumes. No rush. I also did more cleanup on my computer. Down to 97 people in Trillian. I removed most of the chinese icq girls that ask basic questions and are horrible at English, and people that haven't signed on in a few months. (I love how Trillian tracks that shit.) Also got rid of most of my Skype people. I need to use that more. I didn't back in Cali because no mic = waste of time.
Cartoons

I download and record a lot of cartoons and other shows. I've slowly filled 2 giant disc booklets with burned media I obtained on the Internet and myself. I dedicate my Saturday mornings to recording TV shows for my own collection. Why? Because I want to watch them? Yes, that's the goal, but to be more specific, it's to amass my own channel. The eventual goal I have is to eventually put these all on a few 1TB hard drives (Yeah, I have a lot) and make a player app that will stream these throughout the house all day, like my own private cartoon channel. It would be like a real channel, with scheduled times for cartoons, playing them in order. I haven't figured out about commercials yet. I have a bunch of vintage ones, but not enough, and it might get annoying. It wouldn't be accessible on TV, rather walls in the house would have monitors embedded in them playing the cartoons 24/7. My dream house has a lot of rooms catering to my hobbies. :) I also intended on making a...
