Up late
Ian's coming soon. That'll be a nice change. I've been playing a lot of games. Mega Man X5 seems a bit easy. Battle Network 4 is a bit underwhelming. My main gripe with it is the souls replacing the styles. There's 6 souls. In theory it's much cooler, until you realize it makes the game much less personal. 3 rounds per battle MAX and you need certain chips to summon them. In MMBN2 and 3 you earned styles by fighting. It was like leveling up, but sideways. You'd get a random element and a style based on how you fought. Guts for using your buster, Custom for using a lot chips, etc. It reflected you a lot more than just using Soul Unison on an HP chip and becoming Roll for 3 turns. There's no way to build up characters, so the game is a lot less deep. It adds replay by making it shorter but on 3 required difficulty levels to get all 6 souls.
4.5 should fix a lot of that because it's radical in using the chips. (See above image for chips)
I just liked styles. It made the game feel more like your own.
Oh, MML2 is fun as well. I got pretty far into this water temple and died, so I lost a lot of time so I am trying to avoid it. I'll come back to it eventually.
